Our faculty continues to support the achievements of its students in national and international arenas, in addition to scientific research.
The Department of Electrical-Electronics Engineering achieved significant success with the project it proposed for the 2024-2025 period within the scope of the Defense Industry Artificial Intelligence Capability Clustering Academic Thesis Program (SAYZEK) conducted in collaboration with the Presidency of Defense Industries (SSB) and the Council of Higher Education (YÖK). The thesis study titled “Detection and Classification of Air Targets by Combining Image Processing and Radar Data” applied by our faculty was among the projects accepted within the program.
Such projects conducted in advanced technology fields like defense industry, artificial intelligence, and radar systems hold great importance both in academia and industry. The project will be jointly conducted by Dr. Lecturer Osman Tayfun Bişkin from the Department of Electrical-Electronics Engineering and graduate student Eda Sayıçiyil. The project aims to detect and classify air targets more quickly and accurately through the integration of radar data and image processing techniques.
We congratulate Dr. Lecturer Osman Tayfun Bişkin and graduate student Eda Sayıçiyil for this significant success in their project and wish them success in their work.
